Jace asked us for a gaming setup for his birthday this year. Of course, I take any type of request as an opportunity to do another project. We had a closet in their playroom that was stockpiling old toys, so it was perfect timing to turn that closet into the gaming setup of his dreams. A year earlier we had taken a leap of faith and painted their playroom black and much to everyone’s surprise the kids loved it. Their playroom is one of their favorite hang outs in the house.

Jace’s Iowa banner was a hand me down from my Grandpa Brooks, so it means a lot to have found the perfect place for it to go. I love the feeling it creates and it’s the perfect momentum to have in a boy’s room. I scored the pendant flags in the dollar section at target, and they are unavailable at the moment, but they definitely add the pops of colors that we needed. The dinosaur lamp was also a target find that it no longer available online. Below are a few similar options. The lamps are so fun, and these are the ages that I’m going to get away with these sorts of things.

Green sitting lamp / Red walking lamp / Saturday Banner / The Place banner / Personalized Pendant / Long Live Boyhood banner / Good old days banner

Personalized Favorite Sports Team Flag
I also loved the idea of this personalized flag! This is the perfect way to showcase their favorite sports teams by using all sorts of colors to break up the dark paint colors.

Here are a few things you may need to consider for a gaming setup. These were the products that were highly rated and the bestsellers on Amazon. If you are like me, I like to buy the reasonably priced items until I know how much they are getting used. The PS5 case was a splurge and not necessary for the setup. It is really fun and super easy to put on!
