Halloween campout
Halloween campouts are the best! We love our Halloween celebration at our RV Park, Sunset at Blue Oasis. Our camp host do a wonderful job of coming up with fun activities for everyone to participate in. Including campsite trick or treating, pumpkin carving and painting, and chili cook off! These are all fun ideas to suggest to your fellow campers!
Decorate the interior
If you know me at all, you know decorating is one of my favorite things to do. I had so much fun decorating my parents’ camper with some fun Halloween banners, streamers, and balloons. It felt like you were waling straight into a 90’s classroom! These items were all sorts of nostalgic and so reasonable in price, and they made the Halloween campout!
Decorate the exterior
We kept the outside simple with a grim reaper inflatable over the food table, and some jack-o-lantern treat buckets cut to fit on our tiki torches. It was an easy set up and was a nice touch to the campout! I’ve attached some similar links! This Grim Reaper would also be fun over a food table, although a bit smaller then the one pictured above.
Spooky Halloween Campfire
Another favorite tradition is a campfire with “Spooky S’mores”. By “Spooky S’mores”, I mean Smores made with Halloween Peeps! If there are guests that are not up for smores you could offer hot cocoa with Halloween marshmallow peeps on top as well!
Special Touches
If you like to add a bit of light here are some fun more reasonable options to hand out to the kids at your spooky campfire. Light up toys are always a hit with the kids and add a special touch to any party!

Add Magic to the fire
One of my core memories as a kid was my dad throwing what I remember to be a garden hose into our campfire! Whatever it was, made the flames turn all sorts of colors just like magic. That was the best party trick my dad could have ever pulled out with three littles girls. I can imagine the magic that these campfire packets will create. Toss these in before a ghost story and you are sure to please a crowd!
Add to the experience with a few Decorations
